The First Pluniverse Chapter: Expanding the visual language while staying true to the product
Background
Plunet 7.3 (2018) is a foundational release of Plunet BusinessManager focused on performance enhancements, deeper data protection (including GDPR-aligned improvements), and usability refinements. Unlike big feature launches, this version doesn’t introduce dramatic UI changes. My challenge was to visually communicate value where there’s no big “before-after” screen moment.
For this release, I introduced a universe-inspired visual direction for the first time, bringing Plunet’s brand into a more playful and future-facing world. Introducing the universe theme gave Plunet a more distinctive visual direction, helping the brand stand out in a space where many competitors look similar. It expanded Plunet’s identity into a more playful, future-facing world, without losing clarity or trust.
What started as a release concept became a long-term brand asset.
Years later, the Pluniverse theme is still used across Plunet’s visual design, product UI and marketing tone, shaping how we communicate product progress and what’s next :)
